Our Jungle Curry paste (Gaeng Pa) brings the authentic taste from the dense forests of Northern Thailand directly to your kitchen. This traditional curry is one of Thailand's most original dishes, representing pure, honest flavors – completely without coconut milk, but with all the more herbs, spice, and character.

Origin & Character

Jungle Curry – "Gaeng Pa" in Thai – originates from the forested regions of Northern and Northeastern Thailand. There, where coconut palms do not grow, a special curry tradition developed: clear, light, and extremely aromatic.

Instead of a creamy coconut base, this curry convinces with a spicy, thin broth and an intense herbal flavor. Originally, ingredients used came directly from the jungle – from wild herbs to local meat.

The result: an honest, rustic curry with a robust bite and plenty of spice.

  3. Pour in water or broth (no coconut milk!)

💡 Tip: You can individually adjust the spiciness with a little less paste – but typically, this curry is really spicy.
