🌿 Origin & Character

Gaeng Tai Pla originates from Southern Thailand – particularly from coastal and fishing regions. This dish developed from the tradition of utilizing as many parts of the catch as possible and cooking particularly aromatic, strong curries.

Typical for the original is a very intense, deeply savory base with complex aromatics – known for its strength and unmistakable character.

👉 Our interpretation focuses on the aromatic spice base and typical herbs to make the authentic taste accessible – without fermented fish ingredients in the paste, which are cooked into it in Thailand
