Mango Madness Chili Crisp – sweet, mildly spicy, crunchy, crazy
Over 25% real mango. No flavorings, no added sugar – the sweetness comes from the fruit. Made in our own small-batch facility in Germany.
If you think fruit has no place in chili oil, you’ve clearly never been to a Thai market. You can find mango with chili salt on every other corner there: sweet, salty, sour, spicy – all at the same time. Mango Madness is based on this very principle. Mango and mango flakes meet peanuts, sunflower seeds, sesame, and roasted sticky rice grains. The chili is intentionally dialed back, complemented instead by three types of pepper and lime powder. Sounds odd, tastes amazing.
Taste experience: Sweet and fruity upfront with that typical resinous mango aroma, followed by the roasted nuttiness of peanuts and sesame, then the acidity of the lime powder – and at the very end, the mild heat of chili and pepper. The fruit tempers the chili. That’s why this is the variety enjoyed even by people who usually say, "I don't like it that spicy."
Heat: 2 out of 5 – mild-fruity heat, a great starting point.

Good to know
The latest food trend is called "swicy" – sweet meets spicy. In Thailand, no one was waiting for this to become a trend: green mango with Prik Gluea, a mixture of chili, sugar, and salt, is an everyday street snack there. The reason it works is chemistry: sweetness dampens the perception of capsaicin on the tongue, while fruit acids open up the flavors of the chili. So, sweetness doesn't make heat weaker – it makes it more flavorful.
Note: Not suitable for frying – add the chili crisp to the finished dish. Store in a cool place after opening and stir before use.
