What makes yellow curry paste so special?
-
Gentle heat, full flavor. Unlike red or green curry pastes, yellow curry paste is mild, but by no means boring.
The combination of dried chili peppers, turmeric, coriander root, and cumin provides a deep, warm aroma.
-
Versatile. Whether with vegetables, chicken, tofu, or fish – the yellow curry paste goes with almost everything and is especially popular with families and guests who don't like it too spicy.
- Authentic & handmade in Germany Following an original Thai recipe, but with the highest manufacturing standards – produced right here in Germany, in our own workshop, without artificial additives.
All these characteristics make our yellow curry paste a popular choice for anyone who loves Thai cuisine and wants to prepare authentic dishes at home.
Why choose yellow curry paste from Yak Thai?
- Authentic Thai: We make all our pastes ourselves, following authentic Thai recipes. Chonticha stands by this with her name.
- Always fresh: We produce in small batches (max. 25 kg) here in Bavaria. When it sells out, we make the product fresh again. We do not produce our goods for the supermarket or sea freight, but fresh for you.
- Environment: No weeks of transport in a shipping container – we manufacture regionally.
- Fresh ingredients: We use fresh ingredients, whenever possible, locally sourced. In our products, you will find no preservatives or other additives.
- Shrimp paste and fish sauce: As is common in Thailand, we use fish sauce and/or shrimp paste in some of our products. We want to offer you the true taste of Thailand. We are vegan where this is also the case in Thailand.
How should our products be portioned?
- Since our pastes are very concentrated and are not stretched with fillers, we recommend starting "slowly." It is best to start with one teaspoon and work your way up. Click here for our Yellow Curry Recipe
How long do the pastes last after I have opened the jar?
Yak Thai products offer the true taste of Thailand.
To make this possible, we do not use additives or thickeners, nor do we sterilize our products at 130 °C. Our products do not have to survive weeks of sea transport; we produce them fresh, right here with us in Bavaria.
IMPORTANT: Therefore, we ask you to store the products in the refrigerator after opening. Please additionally cover the curry pastes with a little neutral oil (e.g., rapeseed or sunflower oil); you are probably familiar with this from pesto.
