Yak Thai products offer the real taste of Thailand.

To make this possible, we use no additives or thickeners, nor do we sterilize our products at 130°C. Our products don't have to endure weeks of sea travel; we produce them fresh here in Bavaria.

IMPORTANT: Therefore, we ask you to keep the products in the refrigerator after opening. Please also cover the curry pastes with a little neutral oil (e.g., rapeseed or sunflower oil). You're probably familiar with this procedure from

Nam Jim Seafood – The classic Thai seafood dip

Fresh. Green. Spicy. Aromatic.
Nam Jim Seafood is Thailand's most popular dip for everything from the sea – an intense mix of green chilies, fresh lime juice, garlic and the unmistakable herbs of Thai cuisine. It is known for enhancing the taste of shrimp, fish, mussels & co. in a brilliantly fresh, spicy and vibrant way.
In Thailand, this sauce is prepared raw to preserve all essential oils and fresh aromas. The combination of spicy, sour, salty, and slightly sweet makes it an indispensable companion to any seafood feast.

Content: 250 ml

Taste & Character

Our Nam Jim Seafood is:

  • fresh-green & herbaceous
  • intensely spicy from fresh green chilies
  • balanced sour, salty, and slightly sweet – fully in line with the four cornerstones of Thai cuisine
  • bright, vibrant & full of flavor

The combination of lime, garlic, and green chilies is typical for the green version of Nam Jim Seafood, which is especially popular when a fresh and citrusy flavor is desired.

Perfect with:

  • grilled prawns, squid, mussels
  • steamed or fried fish
  • seafood salads
  • summer rolls with seafood
  • grilled vegetables or as a dressing for Thai salads
  • or simply as a table sauce for anyone who likes it fresh & spicy

Why Yak Thai Nam Jim Seafood?

  • Authentic Thai taste – directly from fresh ingredients
  • Artisanally made in Bavaria
  • Ideal for all seafood lovers who appreciate true Thai flavors
  • Glass bottle – high-quality & sustainable

Did you know...

1. Nam Jim Seafood is THE seafood must-have in Thailand

In Thailand, Nam Jim Seafood is automatically served with almost every fish or seafood dish – it is considered the indispensable dip for everything that comes from the sea.

2. There are two main varieties: red and green

The green version (like yours) is made from fresh green chilies and herbs and tastes brighter, more citrusy, and more herbaceous. The red version, on the other hand, is a little spicier and often nuttier.

3. The dip is traditionally prepared raw

Nam Jim Seafood is not cooked in Thailand – all ingredients are freshly pounded in a mortar. This preserves essential oils, spiciness, and freshness particularly intensely. We, however, have to briefly heat the sauce to guarantee you some shelf life.

4. The flavor balance follows the Thai culinary philosophy

The dip perfectly embodies the Thai flavor balance: spicy, sour, salty, and slightly sweet – a combination that harmonizes particularly well with seafood.

5. Every family in Thailand has its own recipe

There isn't "one" original – almost every Thai family prepares Nam Jim Seafood individually, often according to handed-down family recipes.
