What makes our Tom Kha seasoning paste so special?

What is Tom Kha?

Tom Kha literally means "cooked with galangal" – "Tom" = cook, "Kha" = galangal. The soup is based on a coconut milk broth flavored with galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, and fish sauce. Typical ingredients include:

    • Chicken (Tom Kha Gai)
    • Mushrooms or tofu
    • Coriander and lime juice as fresh toppings

Taste & Character

Tom Kha is milder than Tom Yum, but just as complex. It is:

  • Creamy with coconut milk or refreshing with water
  • Fresh and lemony with herbs
  • Sour with lime juice
